Difficult one
I personally would avoid external mods and body kits for 2 reasons, Nissan spent alot of time in a wind tunnel getting the aero right and i doubt most parts have done the same, secondly in the UK body mods, blue tipped exhausts and especially stickers all over the car make you look a class 1 twat, its a no no. I have modded alot of my cars and it always goes in performance upgrades however the stock car is pretty nuts and i never want to make my cars unusable on the road (too noisy and to hard a ride) so its hard to say what really needs to be changed atm on a ever day car, if your after max performance it might be worth saving the money and waiting for the hardcore v spec. I will probably go for a light chip mainly to remove the V Max limiter and new break pads, maybe a decent exchaust if its low db's and lighter rims. |

they spent alot of time on the external for better gas millage and marketing, but the design isnt the best. it lacks the needed downforce used for the race track. as any tuner or race car driver will tell you. every car needs additional work to stick it to the ground on the track. even the gt-r and ferriaries etc.
all the major tuners are in the buiessness for making money, yes, but it still needs it if your going to make use of it, then do it. if its not a car needing it in your case, an everday car, then dont do it. its based on your needs. |

Have had my car since February.
So far have done the following: Amuse reflash Y-pipe cat delete The car is pretty much incredible as is. The Amuse was to remove the speedcut (would probably do Cobbs if I had to do it all over again). The cat-delete was to improve the exhaust note ![]() The only thing I would really want to spend on now is a. better rubbers (the RE55s on the Nismo car should have been made an option! or I'd have to wait for Toyo R888s or Advan A050s in R35 sizes) b. the Endless monobloc 6 pot front/rear kit. Oooodles and ooooodles of reserve braking power. The stock Brembos are good (probably one of the best on a production car) but the R35 is big and heavy and every so often, the brakes let you know that when you are on the track c. seats. I am abt 6"+ and with a helmet, I am AWFULLY close to the roof and can't get a good driving position. Normal driving is fine. Needs a much lower seat! d. oil cooling (transmission/engine) |
