Cheers. Gary @ japsalon has quoted £60+£20 per alloy to repair and is able to supply me with subs so I can still use the car. This will include fixing the slight kerbing damage and a weather protection coating (not lacquer).

Well, the guy didnt turn up.
I'll try and get away from work this week to see you Alex as I have the car booked in for Saturday at japsalon. It could be 10 days to repair and I need the car back by 4th.

Astounded!

Just spoke to the guy on the phone. He was away in France yesterday. I told him the problem. He offered no excuses, apologised and agreed to cover the £320 for the refurb.
He even offered to come out of his way if I needed it sooner, otherwise he will bring on Tuesday for the usual visit.

THAT is customer service.

I am amazed as I saw the best case expectation as a 50/50 split after a difficult argument.

Yup. Good to see the guy could see the bigger picture. Word of mouth can certainly harm a small business/service like his. Im very impressed as for just us they do 6 cars a week at £12 each, so it'll be at least a month to get the money back - but he will then have the ongoing business.

Well, just seen the guy and he handed me £290 cash.

(I rediscussed with japsalon and price was £60 x 4 + £20 (remove tyres and split rims) + £30 (reput back together, balancing, and weather protection = £290)

Result!

Herts, Elstree area, but he said he had a number of teams that did the area as I had to clarify which had done the deed.
