Wiper Arms and Window Rubbers?

Good morning,

Does anyone know the best place to purchase wiper arms and window rubbers for the R32 GTR.

The car is very mint but could do with a few new rubbers (maybe even a full set) and the wiper arm assemblies could also do with a refresh.

Thanks

Lee

As I have said befor there are alot of different rubbers to buy! The biggest problem is that they arent cheap!

From what I no you need to buy a complete set for front and rear and you have to take the windows out to be able to fit the new rubbers and plastic surrounds. Even then there are a couple of trim bits you dont get in the new set!!!

I have tried to clean up my scuttle panel but theres a plastic/rubber piece attached which is knackered.
I no the rubbers around the door shut top go (where the glass meets the b pilar), mine arent to bad.
The rubber around the mirror bases split and that is a piece that goes around all the way around the door.

Have you tried to clean up the plastic trim bits with T-cut and polish? Also try some rubber/vinyl restorer/cleaner on the rubbers. It can be hard work but the end result might show and you will save yourself a small fortune!

OH, as for the wiper arms, take them off, rub down with 800, if you go to the metal use some etch priemer then spray with matt/satin black.
A little tip for spraying them........get some wire and make a hook to hang them so you can easily spray the whole arm without having to touch it.

Baz

yer I was going to go down the spray route for the wiper arms was just being a bit lazy

I had assumed that a rubber set would be on the high side but I am awaiting a call to get a price so I will see.

There are a couple of rubbers that are grey now lol

Lee - Alex has some products that bring them up quite well (I hadn't done them for a little while).

If you put a couple of coats of his trim products on and keep them topped up, then they stay nice and black. As I say, I hadn't done them for a while as I was using the car so infrequently.

I'm sure Abbey will come up trumps should you decide to change them though

On finding out the costs I am going to refurb the wiper arms as I do work at an engineering company so I should really do them (was being a bit lazy)

Plus I did get some rubber stuff a few days ago so will give that a go.

On another note I got loads of cleaning bits from alex and I am really impressed
