Are both of these R34 turbos?
Turbo 1part number ends in AA300 the Turbo 2 part number ends in 05u20.
I believe turbo one to a R34 one and turbo two to be off a R32/33 Exhaust ports Turbo 1 ![]() Turbo 2 ![]() A/R ratio stamped on Inlet housing. Turbo 1 ![]() Turbo 2 ![]() |

Sorry, my mistake, didn't realize 2 are different turbo.
Pic: turbo 1 is R34 STD Pic: turbo 2 is probably either R32 or R33 STD Again, I am not checking them by numbers, just by look of it which I usually need to know when they are on the car. |

to give some info for everyone, all N1 (R32, R33, R34) turbo's don't have those numbers (48 9ZS on first pic and 48 0X3: with on second pic).
This can be checked on the car with back turbine, just use your finger or small mirror to see those number. If it's flat and there is no number or writing---you got N1!!!! There are many R33 N1 on used R32 and R33 GT-R out there as much as Nismo turbo's. They are not common to use now but it was common before GT2530 became popular. Also, there were some "trick" to get overhauled R33 N1 turbo's when overhauling STD R32 or R33 turbos in Japan at cost of STD turbo, but this is impossible to find out without taking out from engine bay. It's very easy to check, it's worth a try for anyone when you pop your bonnet next time. Oh, try not to get those number on your finger, check when engine is cold. |
