It made 721bhp and 374ft/lbs of torque, but would have made more if the injectors had worked properly, and the head gasket had held. The head gasket blew 5 runs previous to the 721bhp run, due to a high boost misfire caused by the injectors sticking under too much fuel pressure .

Sean said there is no point in keep rebuilding the engine just to post big dyno numbers, so he hasn't bothered. The bike also ran a 7.90 @192mph on the quarter mile, which isn't that fast for a Turbo Busa, not when other Turbo Busa's can run 7.42 @ 197.4mph, LOL.

Anyway, the 721bhp bike can't be ridden on the road, it's only good for posting big dyno numbers and running up the strip. The turbo is far too big to use on the road, clearance between the front wheel and the turbo is an issue. To make the clearance bigger you'd need to rake the frame, which then makes the bike even less streetable.

Forgot to say, those Spondon swingarms are works of art. The only downside to dealing with Spondon is the time it takes to actually receive your goods, they take ages, but the end result is always worth it. Their fabrication skills are legendary.

Had a problem with my other spondon arm, had a tip to take it up there with prior arrangement of course.

After a slow start they could not do enough for me, Very talented and welding to die for

Think Steve Venables busa has run a 7.3@199 over here , they run even quicker in the US

He holds quite a few records, still. His old ZX12 was also well rapid, I'm glad he dumped it though and bit the bullet and bought a Busa.

There is another company who's work equals Spondon's, Lee @ steelheart engineering produces fantastic work, easily on a par with Spondon's. They are the only two companies I'd use for fabricating bike parts, Steelheart is a bit cheaper than Spondon too. They are both at the top of the fabricating tree though.

he kept it and lets his crewman run it , recently it ran almost as fast as the busa.

Tim Blakemores ZX-12r has run even quicker than a busa over here , he has run 6.8 on his funny bike so there is no doubt who the daddy is

Niiiice !!!

Surprised you needed a 10"er mate, I'd have thought you would have "naturally" been able to keep the front down

Such a clean looking bike considering the performance you have out of it.

J.
