Hello everybody
First I want to thank administrators n everybody on this forum for their contribution. I have a question can I swap IHI-RH55 turbos with garrett gt series in R35? If yes then what are the things that I have to keep in mind? and IHI-RH55 is equal in specs to what garrett gt series turbo with what A/R? Thanks n Regards |

you can swap out the turbos BUT you need to do your own R&D and fabrication. its going to be alot of work. i think a few compaines are doing this, hks, amuse, and speedforsale.com
they are all still in r&D stage. upgrading horse power past 600hp will cause the transmission clutchs to slip beond hope. so those need to be upgraded plus all the overheating of the engine oil and trans oil needs to be taken care of. plus im not sure the trans internals are up to the task... lets just say you should remove launch control because that will brake the tranny for sure after 600hp. then you get into handeling all that hp. making it balanced. will the engine also need internal upgrades? anyways more info on upgraded turbo and trans stuff here: CBA-R35: First GT-R transmission and differential development Upgrades! |

Buddy of mine just sent his factory units off for an upgrade. I would like to see what is going to come of it. He's already placed an order for upgraded blow-off valves that are direct swap ons....I can't wait to hear the sound of them as they vent to atmosphere.
