You won't even get a brown one for £5.5k.

Not meant to sound rude but, isn't it 500 pound over the budget, surely you could save up a bit more?

Or you could offer him/her 5,500 instead?

Just a thought

Cheers

If you can only 100% go to 5.5 k for a Gtr ,then you cant afford to run and maintain it ,simple.

Agreed. Its not just buying the car you've got to worry about. These cars cost a fortune to run and maintain.

dont mean to sound rude but only being able to 100% go to 5.5k certainly does not mean there is no way to afford to run it.
take for example my gto which im using now, spending money on that, whether it be tyres, servicing or whatever is preventing saving a little extra. getting rid of that and having my gtr back on the road would just mean that the money that would be spent on the gto would be spent on the gtr instead, only i know, mechanically the gtr will cost me less!
i understand peoples views on this but you have to think of other possibilities and not just get stuck into your head that it cant be done.

Here's one example of what could go wrong if you buy a cheap one:

GTR33 re-birth

No, paying more doesn't guarantee this won't happen but if someone's got a mint one, they're not going to be selling it cheap, are they?

Turn it up to 11. Although that's pretty quiet on my stereo, it goes up to 100.

Funny thread !!!

Boro, here is some free advice, just like what you asked for!

Simple answer, yes you can get a 33 GTR for 5.5k. BUT as nearly everyone has said it will end up costing you twice that in the long run.

TBH 5.5k is cheap for a decent 32 GTR

I have seen cheap cars, I have experienced customers who have bought cars cheap only to spend thousands putting them right to be left with still not so good a car!

You get, what you pay for in for life and I would not buy a GTR at 5.5k. Thats cheaper than trade prices. You find me 33 GTR's at 5.5K, let me inspect them and if they up to a good enough standard I will buy as meny as you can find at that price.

^^ Look at the prices of our stock on GTR's. At 5.5k I'd be looking for a GTS.

as we are on the build up to Christmas and as usual the general public are starting to go in to a slow panic about selling everything they don't need..... and yes you guess it the car is first up on her christmas list.. and divorce maybe on yours

i don't see it to far out of reach on eBay to get a bargain, people do silly things under pressure that's not really there and taking 5.5-6k maybe be one of them....i think it can be done

all best with the hunt
