muppets who think only the R34 is a proper Skyline
I was taxiing my car around and dropped the missus off, when she overheard an older man look at my car and comment "that's not a GT-R, it's a fake with fake emblems". This managed to irritate my wife, who has patiently stood by me and suffered as I've built the car and gone through every possible failure a GT-R can have (except a flat tire
Skylines have lots of street cred, but it never occurred to me that idiots think only the R34 is the "Skyline". Granted, the vast majority of the Skylines in Korea are R34s - there are around ten R32 GT-Rs in the country. I guess there's an upside though - I prefer my car to look more anonymous, and let its performance do the talking ![]() |

People around here don't know about any other skylines then the R34 too. It pisses me off actually when you have to explain the skyline history to all those noobs
![]() ..."No the skyline wasn't invented in 2000 you twat"... ![]() I love my R32 as it a racing based street car as opposed to the fatter more luxurious R33. The R34 is more a compromise off both if you ask me ![]() |

I think the reported weights of the R33 were 1530 and 1540 for the V-Spec. That makes it 100kg heavier than the first R32s at 1430kg and even after the changes in mid 91, at least 50kg heavier.
