why modify your fuel rail? A Tomei will already be set up with -6 fittings.
Just use -6 lines for everything. I had thought a -8 return line would be needed, but there are a LOT of twin pump setups that use a single -6 return. Your overflow line doesn't need to be braided. Neither does your lifter line, come to think of it, as neither is pressurized. Two suggestions: use checkvalves (Aeromotive -6AN inline) at each end of your fuelrail. It will help keep your rail pressurized, and in case one pump fails, you can still drive your can no problem. The other? Isolate the 044s as much as possible. Use mounting brackets with rubber, and isolate the bracket to car connection with rubber grommets as well. I didn't - custom aluminum bracket directly holding the pump, directly bolted to the car. The humming is quite loud from 044s, but can be minimized with rubber isolation. My pump holder is bulletproof, but if anything, amplifies the sound of the pumps ![]() |
