Water feed for 2860-10

Ok, finally getting fooked off now with not being able to fit these bloody turbos.

The standard water feed does NOT fit, some people have suggested there is an adapter that is used, i.e. screwed in to the turbo and then the water feed is screwed in to that, but i cant seem to find any...

so im stumped, not to mention pissed off as the car has now needlessly been off the road for too long.

pic attached of the pipe im referring to.

can anybody help or identify what i need? I was even told by turbo dynamics today that this should just "screw in"

what turbos did you have before? I take it from the picture that the threads don't match up. That's odd, although I didn't install them, the only issue I was aware of with installing my 2860-5s was extending the oil drain fitting.

And the 2860-5 and -10 are different only in the compressor; everything else is (or I thought was) the same.

You would be better to get some braided hoses made up to match mate.
I have found it difficult to re~use the standard hard pipes more than once or twice especially if your fitting them with the engine in !

i had HKS 2540, but i foolishly didnt remove any fittings before selling, but i didnt notice anything like this on them....i suppose what would be very handy is a similar shot of a stock turbo if anyone has one.....

Apart from not having the adapter, were the -10's straight bolt in, like the -5's and 2530's.

I think tweenierob said you managed to get good power with little boost (1.5)
from these tubbies.(might have you mixed up with someonelse)

What are they like compared to the 2530's.

cheers.

they use all the same fittings as the -5s so yes.......

Ive never had 2530s, i had 2540s prior which are very similar in terms of power delivery and capability. I dont rate these turbos to 800 like garrett do. Mine made 640/509 at the crank at 1.7bar with an unfinished tune at the weekend, on suspected low reading rollers!

Im hoping to see 700 out of them on pump fuel at 2 bar and a complete map.

Have you got a 2.6 or 2.8 and when did the turbos start to spool.

Thanks.
