Ichiban for Sale

Some of you may remember Andy Barnes drag 34, the well known (as anything of Andy's is likely to be) Ichiban and still sits in the UK top 10 drag times with a 9.68.

I bought her off Andy in September 2006 and for those of you that dont know her pedigree take a look here:

Sumo Power R34 GTR Demo Car - FOR SALE!

After I bought her I set about focussing her entirely for track work, with the changes I made in March 2007, both mechanical and visual detailed here:

Built by Sumo, finished by Abbey

Results of being remapped (on the 2.6L and same HKS 28/35 turbines) here:

Ichiban's remap, or Harry goes Hardcore

She's also been well looked after:

Harry-ban pictures - freshly detailed

I had intended to use her in the Time Attack series, but work and other activities conflicted so used her last year for trackdays mostly. I can honestly say very little if anything came close to her on track.

She came out and wowed the crowd at the Bruntingthorpe Charity day last year and was good enough for 3rd place at the Time Attack Club Challenge Final at Brands (the one round I did compete in) last year. Pipped at the post by Ron Kiddell by 0.167 of a second (I hasten to add mine was running a full weight interior plus my own weight disadvantage )

Since the end of the 2007 season, it is now running without the race dash (put back to stock), the Hollinger sequential (back to the 5spd R33 H pattern now) or the the Nismo 1.5 diff (back to standard R33 diff). The engine is a new 2.8L (stroker kit by HKS) built by Abbey Motorsport and has just over 1500miles on it (the old block developed a hairline crack). It currently runs detuned at around 700bhp at the fly @1.3bar on 97RON, but with a remap the prior outputs are still achievable (and should be able to be improved with the extra engine capacity). Brake discs and pads were also new when the engine was replaced.

Its now time to let her go as I've moved on with other cars and projects.

Given where the market is for 34s and the wife said "sell it six months ago, you never use it", which is unfortunatly true, she's priced at 27500.

If you want a test drive, bring your money with you and I will let you drive her before you buy. Viewing/inspections by appointment only and any enquiries PM me.

Thanks for looking
Cheers

Harry

Good Lord, even I'm tempted to come back to the fold Don't suppose you'd take a P/X on a 2004 Civic Type-R?

Prefer not to see useless posts on for sale threads but I have to make an exception on this one.
After being a passenger twice in this car I have to say it makes the acceleration and braking on my 500bhp car look pedestrian in comparison.
If I had a spare 27,500 it would be coming your way
Someone buy it quick before he changes his mind
