hcr32 rb26 rwd question

Going to put the rb26 in with rb26 gearbox.
Know already what needs to be done to the gearbox and sump but still have a question about the rear driveshaft.

The hcr one will be to long I gues so hase to be modiefied, and put a gtr front on to fit the rb26 gearbox?

Or will a gtr one fit my hcr32 diff so I can take that one and only have to modify the lengt?

Hope I got the good words for everything .

cheers,

If it's only 2wd you cannot use the GT-R gearbox as the transmission tunnel has no room for the transfer case.

As far as i know the driveshafts are all the same length throughout the whole range

No prob just weld another tunnel or adjust it a litle.

Can also chop of the piece that sticks out on the side (the 4wd system) and put a plate on it.

Just use an rb25det gearbox out of an r33 gts25t or an r34 gtt. They are the same gearset as the rb26 but set up as two wheel drive. No transfer case and they bolt up to the rb26 no probs

Definatly better to use the R33 RB25det box.

There's alot of mucking round to use a 4wd GTR box in a 2wd shell and the driveshaft is totally different.

You can put the RB25 yoke on the front of the 2wd driveshaft you have now and your done,

Rob
