Sod the credit crunch the Stagea is alive again so Im skint but happy

FINALLY THE STAGEA IS BACK

Unfortunately I seem unable to post pics straight onto the site so hopefully this link will work

Picasa Web Albums - bd - RB 26 STAGEA

Due to the engine retiring itself on the M3 the car has been at T R racing having an engine rebuild with a few modss (it would be rude not to )

Anyway I have now been running it in for three days and only have another 300 miles to do before rob maps it fully and takes the 4250 rpm limit away.

It cetainly is different and seems to have got louder ( if thats possible )
so a small silencer is being sourced to replace the decat pipe.

Whilst it was off the road I decided to do the other mods I had been promising myself so rather than give them its easier to give the spec as of now,

RB 26 DETT engine just rebuilt by tweenierob at T R Racing
with early much stronger R32 block bored out to just under 2.7
Balanced crank with ACL racing bearings
Tomei forged rods
Tomei forged pistons

Tomei Cams and lifters
Tomei adjustable cam pulleys
Nismo cambelt
N1 water pump
Tomei metal head gasket /inlet/exhaust manifold gaskets

Uprated Nismo clutch to 5 speed maual gearbox with ATTESSA AWD (same as Skyline GTR)
Rebuilt transfer box
Garrett 2860-5 turbos with HKS elbows
700 injectors
Full Greddy balanced induction kit
Air con removed (as I never use it anyway)
Front mounted HKS intercooler ,
Large HKS aluminium racing Radiator ,
Remote front mounted HKS thermostatic oil cooler. -
Garage Defend carbon cooling panel and plenum cover . Twin Blitz BOVs
Full silicone hoses throughout
HKS down pipes and one off custom 80mm stainless exhaust system with decat pipe.

ENGINE MANAGEMENT
Apexi Power FC and commander
Profec B 2 Boost controller running 0.8 , 1.1 bar and 1.5 bar ( or thereabouts)
Z 32 AFMs
Mapped by Tweenierob ( T R Racing )
Power
Im told by rob that dependant on boost it should be somewhere bewteen 550 & 600 bhp when properly run in and fully mapped .

Car now has Apexi N 1 Coilovers suspension with Apexi 9000 wagon springs
uprated Whiteline anti roll bars with cusco camber arms
Kansai Strut Brace
Brakes are from 2001 R34 GTR v spec with R34 hubs , nismo braided hoses & brake stop.
Wheels are 18” Ultralite Nurenbergs Tyres are Dunlop NCT run flats
It has a full original Nismo Stagea body kit (this as rare as hens teeth even in japan)
Recaro interior with Momo racing steering wheel
Carbon facia , switch mounts and instrument face
Apexi EL 2 electronic Boost , oil pressure and oil temp gauges linked through EL 2 control box with 30 sec playback
Momo racing steering wheel
Apexi EL 2 Boost , oil pressure and oil temp gauges linked through EL 2 control box with 30 sec palyback
Has all Stagea options :- dual air con ( removed )twin e/sunroofs , self closing tailgate , remote c/locking , cargo net and dog guard, parking sensors
[/size]

I am it seems also responsible for the rain as it has been pouring from the very moment I drove the car for the first time.
That , and the rev limit , mean it is impossible to judge the new power but it definately seems pretty quick.

roll on 300 miles..........to be continued

very similar spec to my engine. If 1.5 bar is going to crank out 600bhp, I wonder how much 1.8 bar will make?

To clarify 600 is possible with these turbos on max boost but I wont do be doing that straight away . And untill we are sure that the rest of the car is definately able to cope it wont be even considered not even at a later date.

The 1.5 setting is my guess as to the higher of the boost settings but it will be on the boost reccomended by rob which will give whatever figure it does.

N1 & Nismo are the same
The Kansai strut brace is same as a 33GTR ( as long as you have an rb26 engine)
Got mine from from newera via matt cant confirm cost as your shippping will be different .
