Dyno results from my new GTR

Little bit dissappointed with the torque but compared to the MR2 (which i classed as fast) it is brutal

what do you lads think?

your injectors are limiting you. Add a second fuel pump and 800cc injectors and your turbos should give you over 600hp. With a similar spec, I made 496 uncorrected wheel hp....with the car intentionally redlined at 6500rpm!

400 lb/ft, 1.5 bar boost. I run 1.8~1.9 bars now, will soon dyno to find out what I'm pulling now - I suspect 570 at the wheels, possibly more.

It seems your engine has been set up for all top end power at the expense of torque. I would have expected to see at least 400 lbs of torque.

Yep, you definately need bigger injectors, 750 would do the job then you should do much better.

At what boost? Im guessing low by the lack of torque and high peak torque rpm. What duration cams?

Bigger injectors will only give him more power if he wants to turn the boost up or is safe to more like. Wont magically help just like that.

hi john nice to see you on here rember yours is only running 1 bar at moment..lol..

also the risk of more boost = risk of blowing an engine or stressing it but i reckon you can do 550-600 with more boost, bigger and injectors and most important..

alright jurgen,

yeah only 1 bar at the mo but aiming for 700bhp in future. ryan is a hard man to nail down - always charging around down south.

can u remap it to produce more torque with current set up?

That is very good power your making on 1 bar of boost.
1000cc injectors would be my choice for an upgrade good luck with the car

Your fuel pump will be another limiting factor when you up the boost !!!!!

With the 2530s you will be able to make 600bhp. Other people have already mentioned the mods needed to do this.

Also if the car is a R32 you will need to change or add fuels lines as the standard lines are to small to cope with much more power than 500bhp.

Figures are very good for 1bar though and it does seem its been mapped for the power rather than the torque.

Baz

An 86.5mm engine works out to be 2598.6 CC's, so don't go telling everyone you have an RB27 just yet
