When I was in Hawaii I bought some US-mags about import scene and also some US-car related mags. . . . . real refreshing stuff for me.

In japan I don't buy mags. anymore, as you can read them in the library or the book store

No honestly:
-LS

-Rosso

-GenrOQ

-option

-Best car &co

used to buy the GTR mag. but the content is a bit light recently, as I don't care what sushi and leather seat smell the boss from Zele likes or dislikes . .

Magazines I will defo never buy again (only read once a year at my hairdressers salon in Lux) are:
-Autobild
-AutoZeitung
-Auto Motors&Sport

Best magazines out there for me:
-Echappement (french)probably the best

-Nostalgic Hero

-Option (for the bad ass content)
-Genroq (quality writing and great content pictures)

Genroq is Tamura-san's favourite magazine by the way. So if the designer of the R34 and one of the team behind the R33 and the GTROC's Honorary President reads it, then I guess it should be good

My reading japanese isn't top, but car related articles are more easy to understand. Genroq is massive on it's content and not snobbish at all, even if 80% of the content is about Ferrari&co.
It's also one of the mag. where import car makers in japan (especially germans), kiss the Genroq editors ass to get some nice quotes for their cars . . . as most customers of expensive non-jap. cars read that mag. But you never have the impression that the editor sides with some brand . .which is a nice thing (GTR vs Porsche reports in Genroq)

used to buy Jtuner, banzai and sometimes japanese performance...

then jtuner got cancelled, and JP i didnt buy to often and by accident i picked up an evo. I got hooked and bought that as often as possible. then i moved to spain, and im lucky that my local often stocks evo, but by complete and utter surprise have both JP AND banzai!

prefer evo + modified mag now though, MM has great info on cars and is just a better magazine than JP and banzai combined. i get arse raped badly though, 10 euro's per mag

edit:

i'd love a hyper rev magazine though, or option. offcourse, i wont be able to understand it but it'd be nice to keep up to date with the latest stuff in japland. Cant order it now because our post man isnt quite reliable

911 & Porsche World is pretty much one of the better car magazines I ever read.

And I'm not even a porsche guy

I probably spend over $100 a month buying magazines. I should just get subscriptions to save myself 60-70% of that but I'm lazy.

• 0-60
• Evo
• DSport
• Super Street (Mag's been sh@t for ages, I buy it out of habit these days and look at the pics; can't remember the last time I actually read it)
• Turbo (Same as above [RIP])
• Sport Compact Car (Almost as bad as SS)
• Project Car (Same as above)
• Modified (Getting thinner and thinner...)d

I'll read Top Gear and Car if I've managed to read everything else, although I'm not a fan of either mag's editorial styles nor do I care for most of the content. Who wants to read about driving a diesel Jaguar sedan through the south of France at night in the dead of winter? Do it in a DBS or something and you might get my attention. I also don't appreciate filling the last half of the magazine with used car ratings. Plus, the UK mags are quite expensive in this corner of the globe due to transport costs and the weakened/weakening dollar; about 6 GBP apiece after taxes.

I'll also pick up the "special editions" like Top Gear's super car thing they did a few months back with the Mazda Furai on the cover, or Evo's Ferrari special from last month, which are even more expensive, like 7+ GBP.

I also read several different blogs during the week when I'm bored at work.

Speedhunters

Excellent blog from the Need for Speed guys with articles on everything from RWB Porsches in Japan to Polish drifting competitions. It's got driver blogs, wallpaper, video, etc. I can and have spent hours here.

Beyond The Dyno

Eric Hsu's blog. Eric cofounded XS Engineering, the shop with that crazy Veilside widebody R32 GT-R with the HKS twins and 2.8 motor. Eric now works for Cosworth.

Nissan Skyline GT-R s in the USA Blog
2009gtr.com

Sean Morris's blogs (goes by Tyndago here), lot's of great info on R chassis GT-Rs as well as the new CBA.

J-Style

Dino's J Style Blog, of course you all know who that is.

The Real JDM - Interactive

Ben Schaefer, director of Bespoke Ventures and Bulletproof Automotive, aka Top Secret III.

Confusion in its truest form

Phi Phung, employee of Auto Produce Boss' American branch.

GTRBlog.com - Your source for Nissan R35 GT-R News

CBA-R35 GT-R news, info and new products

Racer86’s Weblog

Racer86's blog, don't know his real name but he's a huge fan of Mazda roadsters and old school Toyotas (think TE27s and old Starlets). Fun to browse when you're bored.

Farm of minds

Farm of Minds blog, don't know how or where I came across this guy but all he seems to do is browse dozens of forums, blogs and websites looking for cool Japanese cars to post up. If you don't fancy a lot of reading and just want to stare at pics for a while, good place to hang out. He's also got a live Nurburgring Nordschleife cam that you can refresh every few minutes and see who's hanging around the pits.

0–60

0-60 Magazine's blog, video, news, wallpapers, etc.

Neo-Tokyo

Hands down the greatest blog ever.

i read less now than i used to, i still get max power, redline just to kill time and get some car time in but Jtuner was the best IMO and so many seem to say the same so why did it get dropped? I find jap performance and banzai a bit boring if im honest

Evo...ever since day one...i preffered the old matt covers to the new glossy ones.

Excellent write-ups, very informative and the way those guys write, it feels like your driving the things as your reading!

Photography outshines 99% of other mags too.

AWESOME mag.

I used to buy JTuner like it was a relegion but after a while I found it got repetitive... I think it stopped shortly after...

Really into practical performance... really has broadened my horizon on tuning in general... a few years back I was just really into high power jap cars but now I'd be happy with a engine conversion 205 gti or something of the like... maybe a 1970s manta..

I wouldnt know about any of these cars if I was still reading Jtuner or Banzai!

I do buy top gear/evo if im on a long commute on the train/plane... thick enough to last the journey!
