Fm band expanders, band expander for used Japanese cars

If you just want it to listen to BBC etc then you'll be fine probably

You just fit it in line with the one that does fit. I think the other pin is for better AM signal or something. They usually have a wire coming off them that requires a live feed going to it.

I had one on my car and it worked o.k - only thing is when your listening to Radio 1 the display shown 89.1 as opposed to 99.1 but you soon get used to once you've pre-set the stations in the radio itself.

One pin goes to the telescopic aerial, the other goes to the one at the top of the rear screen (at least it did on mine). They share 'earth' connections (on side of connector).

Pick one or the other (I believe standard HU uses something called 'diversity' where it picks the outputs with the best signal).

there is a DAB external box from Pure which gives good signal and cost 70quid. you get BBC + others that way

so I installed the expander, but classic FM seems to be working on two different frequencies according to the display

Anyone know what frequency radio1 will come on the jdm head unit display? Or any radio stations worth listening to in the Birmingham/West Midlands Area, getting bored of CDs now
