Unhappy Rear diff

Looking for some help and advice. I have a 2000 GTR V-spec R34 which is making a loud whining noise from the rear. When a mechanic pulled the oil plug fragments of metal came out with the oil. My question is just how easy or difficult and expensive is it to change the diff on the car and where can the parts be sourced from?

The car has only done 48,000 miles and never raced so I'm really surprised this has happened.

I think I might have everything you need as I replaced the whole axle on mine when the Drag-R was built. Let me know if I can help.

Jeff

Thought so too.. You'd have to change both diffs to R33 then, Mines-Style..

Easy to replace the standard R34 diff but if you want R33 diffs the front needs to be changed to which is not so easy to do.

Its normal to have a shiney paste on the plug magnet but large bits of metal is not normal,
