OK guys sorry for long delay,

Basically I couldn't update this thread for a while. As I said I didn't work for the company Active Technologies who make these throttle bodies - But due to some negotiations I now do work for them It was a bit political because the company I did work for has links with Active Technologies so it wasn't a straight forward job move.

But now that I do work for them - my job being designing and looking after the throttle body side of things - I can pick up where I left off. I started last week and was busy in preparation for Autospot (we had a stand thursday and friday). I have a big list of things to get through, and the RB26 throttles are right up there.

Something to note for Time Attack followers - Roger Clarke Motorsport (2008 Overall Winners) are using an AT Power throttle,

AT Power Throttle Bodies & Throttle Body Assembly

One of my first jobs is to congratulate those guys. So if you're after a large single bore throttle we can meet your needs too! Tell your subaru friends!

I love this thread.
It's great to see engineering and design like this, not a lot of people step up to R&D quality parts anymore.
I would definitely be interested in a set.

Name: Justin
Car: BNR32
Power: Stock 280BHP, Planning 600-650WHP
Use: 75% Street, 25% Circuit

pupsi - I don't think it could be said how much of a power gain you would see without knowing the specific application and set-up. I'm more than sure you would see an improvement in throttle response, as well as a differing power increase depending on turbo(s), air flow, and the tuning done afterwards.

I'm running a RIPs RB30/26, 280, 10.8 cams with a T04z, its producing 740bhp. What gains or difference would I see with this mod. Was wondering if the cost of this mod (when known) would equal the gains of cost effectiveness ??

Thanks Tarmac Attack,

It's hard to say what the power increase would be as we haven't done a turbo application like this before. I would think the throttles would flow about 10% more air through them than the standard ones. Because the size of the naked port is equivalent to 45mm, the standard throttles are a choke (having smaller area) and also cause alot of turbulance just before the port, because of the 10mm shaft in them. People running high power would see more benefit than those running standard power.

I need to get a set tested by a reputable tuner back to back so I can have some real figures for people (I'm not into BS). Stay tuned folks

Very interesting, looked at the title of the thread for some time but never opened it to read it, glad I did.

It would be nice to see some results in a turbo application.
