Would be very interested in the actual results you achieve with a set of these. The theory is sound, but whether it translates to a high pressure turbo charged application remains to be seen.

The Jap tuners seemed to lose interest in the 50mm conversions common some years ago. Same thing????

I'm also curious about the thought of a stainless steel butterfly mounted in an ally body and the turbo charged temp variations it will see. It will be interesting.

Just re-surfacing the 'gasket' issue mentioned earlier in this thread, the stock TB's do have a 'silicon smear' type sealer to ensure a leak free seal. And yes it does cause major idle problems if you remove the dirty smear. I'm sure a modern custom machined TB will have better leakage control than a mass produced cast ally body

Has anyone got any results from this yet?

One thing I was wondering about was whether the throttles would need more rigidity on a typical RB26 application over and above a normally aspirated engine because of the boost pressure. With, say, 2 bar in the plenum, a gear change would subject the throttles to a lot more force than on a n/a car.

I'm hoping it'll all be fine because I'm very interested in this.

Cheers,
Kingsley.

^^ very interesting!!! The throttle plate turns so it is inline with the divider in the port.
