FAO Car Stereo guru's - Old Sony MD changer / Ipod compatibility

For the guys in the trade, Does anyone do an adaptor that i can replace my 6 disc MD autochager with, and plug my Iphone 3g into, which will alow me to control the ipod using my car stereo controls?

I have a CDX-M610 Cd radio with 6 disc autochanger and ive seen adaptors on the market but everyone i phone seems braindead. The Autochanger uses Phono leads, and that weird round DIN plug.

any advice? Would this do it?

looks like that would work but it may not be able to select different tracks via the head unit (i know it says that this is possible on the listing)

You need an ipod ready head unit, these will read your ipod tracks/files etc and display tracks been played. Older units not ipod ready will simply play the music but give you no control of the ipod.
