JL GTR - Started from Stock, Growing up.

Recently got a new GTR R32, and have started buying up parts for the spring, I'm in Montreal, Quebec, Canada....so i decided to start a build thread to help track progress... this is the second GTR ive had,...

and so heres the first GTR i had:

then i got tired of having a really modded / problem car, so i sold it....

*****************
6 months later, i bought this:

1991 Skyline R32 GTR *bone Stock*... not a single thing was upgraded ever.
110,000km's great shape, no rust, and compression on all cylinders was above 160PSI... never been over boosted either.

heres the pics of it at the shop.

thats all for now!!

check back soon, more to come!

so basically for goals, i plan to go for some bigger power. im looking in the 500 WHP range.

I've spoken with haig from autoworx about my plan and robin from almasi, and they've both helped me decide on which parts to go with.

heres pics of the strut bars + rad hoses!

stay tuned, more to come!

you like those? the original was that the plastic DIN cover was bored out and these metal guages forced into the DIN cover.. naturally it cracked.. so when the car came over from japan and i saw that it was all cracked and taped up.. i wasnt having that! so to the machine shope i went and fabricated that little bezel from stainless steel and polished it.... worked out well... considering doing somehing similar to my new car.. but maybe in diamond plate. i just picked up a 4x10 sheet of diamond plate.

I'm in the (slow) process of doing something similar to mine. How are you securing the plate in place?

Oh nice car bay the way. I do like red ones.

the plate is secured in place by having it actually about 5 mm too long on either side of the regular sized DIN insert..then there is a need to put something on the back of the plate to push it forward a make it sit flush with the bezel surround..... so... i just used double sided tape... and stacked it on the back... sits flush.. and nice now.

haha yah when i bought the car i noticed that the oil pressure sensor/gauge wasnt working at all... after i saw the car run for 15 minutes and even drove it i agreed that its clearly not the oil pump but merely the guage or sender.. so the guy who sold the car took it to a nissan dealer ship for me, and had a new sender fitted, along with that aftermarket pillar and oil pressure gauge. free of charge.

i just want to make sure that every one is clear to make the distinction that these are 2 different cars... right? lol.. the one with the stainless steel DIN gauges, and AVCr is my OLD car.. which is now sold.. the new one is stock.. and is the one im buying all these parts for..

its very much unused and in superb condition.

even the seats look fresh!
