National Meeting 2009
Well, we now have a couple of centrally located venues to choose from and I'm in discussion about what they can do, dates etc. I've been working on the premise that it will be a long weekend and we need to cater for campers and caravaners and for families with children as well as adults. As far as activities themselves are concerned it will be mainly for us to agree what we want to do but I suspect a big part of it will be hooking up with people and getting to the venue, so don't expect it to be a direct route from home to site
![]() To keep catering simple I propose a giant barbecue included in the price for the second night and either an optional barbecue or perhaps a giant take-away curry or chinese (or both!) for the first night. During the day people can make their own food arrangements but the barbecue will be available. In terms of dates we can go for either of the May public holiday dates. I will continue with the discussions with venues and keep you informed. Obviously there will be an entry discount for STAGEA OWNERS CLUB members (more details to follow from Brian) if I can get it. Now it's down to what you can do. We will need some people to volunteer; the more people that help the easier it is for everyone. I appreciate we don't have a venue and date yet so not asking anyone to commit to anything but as advanced warning we will need the following:
Also, remnember this from another thread? Quote:
Finally, if you haven't added your name to the list of locations please do. That will help us determine convoys and pick up points. And don't be surprised if, on the way to the venue, do don't have to complete certain tasks as part of your journey! Details of the list can be found here: STAGEA MEETINGS where do you live. Watch this space for more details!.........

The Stagea do!
If it helps i used to be a chef (city and guilds qualified!)and would be prepared to cook on the sunday night and prep if needed. I guess somewhere central would be nice(must be lots of camping venues near the Gaydon Motor Museum?)

I will be up for this as long as it is not too far up north. Will come with my mrs so will need a hotel for the night as she doesn't do camping....long story (involves groundsheets and high heeled shoes and shit weather, never again!!)

The last weekend of May is the Nurburgring 24 hour race, other than that there's not much going on, so propose we hold the event that bank holiday weekend, starting Saturday and finishing Monday

that seems like a good weekend for me!
i should be allowed out for that! i expect to bring the binlids with me too just waiting for the venue before i commit myself fully .Food drink co-ordinator sounds a relatively simple task in comparison so maybe i should volunteer my services allthough shopping is not my forte i am a logistics proffesional (warehouseworker)
