Can I hold you to that please...

There are very little Japanese cars over here, infact I haven't seen a Micra while I'm over here !! I can't find a loom in the local Halfords equivalent.

If somebody has a spare ISO type loom to help out, would much appreciate it

wish I had read all this before I did my bulbs in the ac unit. I bought a set of nissan ones off 8ball, £50...... yes, thats right......£50 I bought them cos I was'nt sure about what wattages etc I needed. Getting the surround out, I didn't realise the facia surround to the radio/ac came out with the cage, ( didn't even know there was a cage then) so I just forced it off. Luckily the lugs where it screws to the side of the cage just broke but left most of the lugs intact. At least then I knew how to do it properly for the next time!! The bloke who fitted the stereo, came with a remote too... wtf??? ... had just cut off the connectors on the car and also on the radio and just crimped the wires together. Now that to me is a t**t, so much so that I am thinking of soldering on iso connectors sometime but that will be a pain cos of accessability and I need a new soldering iron that works better than the one I've got, etc etc. It all seems to work ok though so it will do for now. The same t**t also fitted the rear fog light to the cigarette lighter power supply, without a fuse too, Ive sorted that but left the supply there but it should really be from the dipped beam supply but f**k knows which wire that is!!! In doing this the t**t broke the illumination plastic thingy so the bulb just hangs loose, I reckon he just forced it out through the front of the dash which is odd cos he had to get to the stereo
will any cigarette lighter fit or have I got to get a special one??
Would be nice to do what James is thinking of and doing the ignition surround.
Great thread.. be good to know what leds and stuff are needed for the ac and other bits as they are pennies from maplins and places like that ...

the ignition one would have to be wired the same as the interior light on it's auto position, sounds a bit involving maybe?

I have two ariel cables, one on each side rear window, with one cable connected my radio reception was average, with both of them spliced together the reception is excellent

As standard are both ariels connected together??

You can get a Nissan-pioneer one but they are costly and quite hard to get the correct one (due to different pioneer stereos over the years). So easiest/cheapest is to get a Nissan-universal and then a universal-pioneer.
Also if you ever change your pioneer for something else (say a Kenwood) you can just fit it straight in to the universal plugs!
Did you not get the standard pioneer loom along with the stereo?

Not sure on that one, although its fair to say that my reception is fairly poor. I never really listen to it that often (due to ipod) so not yet had the kick up the ass to sort it!!
