Get friendly with your HPC.. That box stores everything!!
If you thrash it - they know
If you tune it - they know
If you launch it - they know
Basically most decent HPC's will allow warranty claims aslong as its not obvious that you caused the failure..
Meanwhile no 'funny-business' in the motor as... you got it... THEY KNOW!!
