there is certain data that is kept forever (you can goto your dealer and ask how many launchs the car has on it, even years down the road, great for buyers of used gt-r's.). then there is the flickr box that keeps data for 38 hours iirc. this data can be cleared but the dealer will know that you did it to hide something and there for deny warranty (if they are that smart). also when u reflash the ECU it changes a pin number so that the dealers see this and know that it has been flashed, regardless if you had it uninstalled for months or whatever.
its said that a HALTECH ecu addon can not be detected by consult3. so that may be the best choice but haltech is dangerous in the wrong hands, so its expensive to purchase and expensive to tune, but well worth it givin the performance and since it removes the limits like limp mode and the advanced technology it packs in.
