Early May delivery - cancellation

Not too sure where this post should go so sorry if it's in the wrong area of the forum..

I have a car arriving early May HOWEVER due to rather bizarre circumstances I now can't complete and will have to let this one go..

Before I ring my HPC should I be asking for a refund or try and "sell" the deposit ?

I am not looking to make money on this, just want my £3,5k back

fyi - black, black ready for collection from HPC on 8 May

Any suggestions ??

D

Think you will have to take that up with you're dealer as you're car is built and probably over here already or on the way ,sounds like you may be stuffed regarding deposits back .Acording to some of the guys on here you cant sell the deposit so the car would have to be registerd to you and then you move it on to the new buyer ,who then would be holding you in good faith to deliver the car .It may be complicated getting a deposit back at this stage I rekon.

You cannot "sell" your place. If you go ahead the car will be registered in your name. If you wish to sell it after that then fine, but the next owner will be the second owner. YOu can ask for a refund but with your car now being in the UK the may well "charge" you something / lose your deposit unless you can argue that the contract has not been fulfilled / honoured at their end (there are numerous threads on this). Speak to your HPC first...... the longer you leave it the less flexible they can be.

Good luck and sorry to hear you are no longer going to be getting one - BIG SHAME !

Have to say if I was the dealer I would return the deposit, minus something for the Race Acadamy day and helmet, perhaps £1000.

I would have thought even in the current climate there would be no problem selling a UK R35 of the showroom floor? With no wait someone is going to want it, and probably at the new list price.

I didn't do the Race Academy or get the helmet. Do you think they will knock £1000 off my purchase price?

you could have kept it and worn it in your Porsche, as a reminder of what a real performance car is

You cant sell your place, but you can take the car home unregistered....They cant tell you you have to register your car...if you want to take it home without registration, then you can do that, its your GTR,not theirs...
