R32 Rear Amp
Has anyone managed to connect an aftermarket stereo using the existing speaker connections without taking out or bypassing the rear amp or is this unavoidable?
Regards, Alan Jackson

If you rewired the radio to loom connector to take the feed from the rear pre-outs on the head-unit that should work. You'd obviously need a head-unit with front and rear pre-outs.
However I'm not sure how you'd control the rear amp. The loom has connections labelled amp which I assume controls the volume on the amp. My amp was knackered so I chucked it and bypassed the connector to go straight to the speakers. Judging by the size of the thing I don't think it was up to much.
