Jo,

I would like to do the group programme, Day 1 and 2. Sept 12th for day 1 seems to be the go so put me down for that.

I have no track experience apart from one ferrari corporate driving day and the GTR test drive at the ring. Is that OK?

thanks

Hi Jo

I think I will stick with the 1 to 1 with Colin or Nick - I assume that I just contact you directly to fix up a suitable date?

Thanks

Neil

Hi Neil - yes, just make contact with me via PM or phone to the office and then we'll work it out between us. Depending on when you had in mind, June is out, July has some availability and August onwards is currently looking good. At this stage we are on average about 5-6 weeks booked ahead on a rolling basis.

Having said that, the new series of Fifth Gear starts next week so that could change the picture.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Jo

I had the first CATDT R35 course with Colin on Sunday 31st May at Millbrook. Wow, what a great day. Learnt so much about my car (JDM Premium Edition Dark Metal Grey) and how to drive it better. More importantly, how not to drive it!! An absolute must for R35 drivers.

Totally professional approach from the outset by Jo, who explained the full itinerary and suggested an extra hour at Millbrook - great suggestion Jo, thanks.

Colin is a great trainer and a top guy to spend the day with. Very professional with a friendly and confidence-building style. His technical knowledge and test driving experience made the briefings and guided sessions on the highway and track educational and enjoyable. I was able to see real progress in my confidence and technique throughout the day.

Millbrook is an amazing place. Only a few cars were around on Sunday (three Lotus Evoras and an AM V12 among them!!). Straight mile for braking technique, 2 mile bowl for high speed driving and manoeuvres, grip limits tested (all modes, including VDC OFF!) on the steering pad, then on to the handling/cornering track and the alpine route. Awesome

Only disappointment was that it had to end. I gained a great deal from the experience and felt even more connected, confident and safe with my R35, prepared to build on efficient track skills with a good foundation, but also more settled on the road after Colinís positive coaching in the morning on highway driving skills.

I would recommend Colin and Jo at CATDT to anyone like me who wants to get the best out of driving their R35.

CW [repeat from other CATDT thread]

Thanks Chris, that's very kind.

So glad you had a great day and that we managed to get the course arranged in your timescale

Look forward to seeing you again soon

Hi Jo,

Sept. 12 is good for me at the mo. I'm a busy bee work-wise and need to do overseas deployments on a frequent basis. Plans for Sept. are not firmed up yet although a Sept. overseas slot is a possibility I can't rule out, though could be after the 12th anyway.

Dates I *know* I'm not needed abroad are June 7th - July 20th, Aug 9th - Aug. 20th. Otherwise, effectively I'm "on call".

The cornering Masterclass sounds veddy interestink + I'm also definitely interested in 1-2-1 day on my list of things to do. But for now, I'd start off with a group day.

Cheers,

Dom.

Thanks Dom - have updated in the hope that the 12th works for you ... once we get to the 8 I'll start asking for payment to get the date firmed up ... so just let me know when you know your plans.

Have you seen there is a space on a group Cornering Masterclass on 4th July, as offered in the Members Area? As you've previously done the PDTD you are eligible if you wanted to join in ... and the date fits. WoREoD will hopefully bring his R35 Just a thought ......

Thanks Surrey I've added you to the list and hope you can work around it as you suggest. Now that we've got 8 of you who have said this date is good for you as is the format, I'd like to move towards committing to the date. To do this I will need payment.

I've created a separate thread for this event on 12th September and will use this thread for discussion and interest about other training options and future dates.

See thread here: R35 Group Performance Driver 'Track' Day - 12th September 2009

This is the updated list for those who have confirmed their interest and availability on the 12th for the Performance Driver 'Track' Day x maximum 8 attendees:

1. charles charlie
2. CCGT
3. paul__k
4. guy cuthbert (plus Orientation Day)
5. ramsub (plus Cornering Masterclass)

2. sumo69 (Group - PDTD)

1. njd (1 to 1 Route to Circuit)

--------

Interested but not advised format

1. peterpeter
2. madadd
3. kpkpkp (Group - PDTD)

--------
