Problem with BNR34 UK VSPEC Alarm/immobilizer.

Hello,

I've a serious problem with "cobra" alarm/immobilizer of my BNR34 UK SPEC (it is the alarm system that middlehurst installed on in their cars). The car doesnt run. Someone can tell me where is the alarms box? Is it in the rear of the car, of near the driver seat?

Both the manual alarm key than the rc command (battery already changed) are out of service. They doesnt unlock the alarm system.

Thks

Carlo

have you got the 'touch key' for the system?

what ecu is fitted to the car?

also, try this:
Reprogramming lock/unlock remote control.

HI Ian C

thks for your reply. I'm using a apexi power fc until now without problem.

Then I have:

1)little oval remote in gray color: With this remote i can only open/close the door. It cant be "switch off/on the immobilizer".

2)remote color in black with gtr logo. With it i could swith on/off the immobilizer and open/close the cars's door

3)chip stick (the touch key like your pic): with it i could swith on/off the immobilizer

The problems began about two month ago when the 12V battery is discharged. I heard a sounds like a "beeeeeeeeepppppppp" continuously. I recharged the 12V battery and from that moment the black remote (2) cant switch off/on the immobilizer and open/close the door. (it blinked normally and the battery are new)

Fortunately with the touck key (3) i could swith on/off the immobilzer and so i used the gray remote (1) for open/close the car's door. So at the end no problem.

From last friday, from a moment to oher, with the touch key i cant swith on/off the immobilizer so the car cant start .

I hope to be clear about my situation. Maybe has the allarm system a his internal battery?

Every comments will be apprenciated.

Thks

Carlo

on the steering column, where you put the key, there are 3 positions:
1. ACC
2. ON
3. START

try this:
turn key to 'ON',
what happens?
can you hear the fuel pump?
which lights are displayed?

Next:
turn key to 'ON', then use the touch key.
what happens now?

Hello,

Now my car is in the mechanic garage, so i will call him, this morning, in order to check the dashboard lights like request. In every case i remember that with the key in "ON" position:
1) i cant hear the fuel pump noise.
2) like wrote i will check the light asap
3) if i use the touck key when the key is in "ON" see the point (1) nothing change and the car cant start.

Thks

Carlo

The alarm box under the dashboard has 4 fuses (2 15A, 1 10A and 1 of 3A). The 3A fuse is burned!!!! it will be replaced very soon. In Italy the shops are closed on monday .
