Angry No power to headunit :(

My headunit doesn't have enough power getting to it, and obviously isn't turning on

I've done a search on here and other sites, and found a few bits of info about fuses, and checked the 10A in the drivers footwell, as well as the 10A in the boot.

To double check it wasn't the HU at fault, my mate and i put his in, and his didn't get power either.

I've swung through the ISO connectors, and they are fine and just went out and tested the actual oem plug on the HU loom and there isn't any power via the accessory line or constant feed.

Am i correct in thinking i have a break in the main feeds for the HU, or have i missed a fuse somewhere?

Can i run another set of power lines for the HU, and if so, which is the best way?

The headunit was functioning perfectly well when it went in to a certain tuner to have the car sorted, and hasn't worked from the minute i collected the car and would rather sort it myself than take it back to them

Your help would be greatly appreciated guys and gals

Danny

Sorry might be a bit of an obvious one but is it earthed?

I ran a different earth, just to double check, and the unit still wouldn't turn on or get power.

Cheers for your reply though

Might be worth trying another head unit to check that yours hasnt been knackered by the tuner?

Already done that as well, as in first post matey and his didn't get power either, which is why i'm thinking its either a loom problem, or the tuners have done something when re-doing my boost controller.

Ok - 1stly - What work was done on your car?
identify what work was carried out to see where the fault lies - if it was working fine b4 hand then the garage has cut/bent/disconnected/shorted a wire somewhere - work back from there & you'll find the fault - maybe they've knocked a speaker wire off? - some hu's have protection agains't this fault -maybe a loose scotchlock or something?

not much help - if you were nearby i'd check it over for you - hope u get it sorted

They basically dyno'd the car and set up the Greddy ebc (which was turned off before).
The ebc is wired in under the left hand side of the drivers footwell, and cheers Chilli, when i get the chance, i'm going to try and trace the wires, to find out where they've tapped into
