As long as its a pre hdi engine around 1998 and before she will run on used engine oil, i have a citroen xantia 2.1 td and she runs on neat used engine oil!, its as black as coal, every garage will want to give you the stuff, i then filter through a swiming pool filter to get rid of bigger particals such as dog ends, sump washers etc! iv done 7000 miles now with a fuel filter change when she starts to restrict, new one in then away you go again, its only 4 bolts on top of the engine and takes 2 mins to change, my garage is filled with use oil in 50 gallon drums lol, goverment says you can run of top of memory 3000 liters of alternative fuel a year, log book does say next to fuel "heavy oil" though pmsl!

I even went through my garage and put power sterring fluid, other engine oils, diff and gearbox oils and she didnt miss a beat, you will when weather gets colder need to add diesel or small amount of petrol to get the car started in the morning, one the cars started they run perfect all day, its because the oil thickens when its cold, iv been using this idea for 8 months now and does save a fortune...

I did even toy with the idea of getting a diesel generator and using used engine oil to power my home!
