Not wanting to drag the thread massively off thread, but what would be some of you experienced seller's advice for selling to an overseas buyer?
I have agreed the sale of my beloved Corvette Z06 to a guy from France but not sure on the safest way to transact the deal...

There's also a problem on Autotrader where scammers clone your add and then delete the original - to do this they need your online password, and Autotrader will blame you for poor security if this happens - but they don't tell you that the problem is at their end. It happened to me once , but I changed my password and negotiated an extra week of advertising from them - the only downside was about 30 calls from people wanting to buy the car half price!

Dont trust the French!!
He can transfer the money from his bank to yours in about an hour for a fee, he will need his banks 'i-ban' number & it can be done inside your branch..

Just make sure the funds are in your bank acc, then hand over the keys. That is my best advice, forget everything alse.

Wife hated it due to low speed gearbox shunt, rear seats proved useless for our small kids (unlike 997) due to squab length and backrest angle, i found it was a nightmare to drive on an everyday basis in terms of rear visibility and size (very difficult to park in a normal space due to length and width + wouldnt fit in either side of our double garage) and wheels very prone to kerbing. It also sounded dull, but it handled and went as fast as anything.

Now have bought a new VXR8 for everyday use £22k, unlike Nissan you can fit a loud exhaust and track it without Vauxhall wanting £700 in inspections and having a data log with which to void your warranty. Will also buy an Elise R or Caterham for trackdays.
