Road Angel

Anyone fitted a Road Angel Professional to your R35? I picked one up at Goodwood today and was hoping to mount it above the rear view mirror but the screen is painted and the suction cups don't work! Looking for ideas on where best to put the thing or if there is any way to mount the unit where I want it.

Al

Hi.

Will it not fit on the dash? You can get a magnetic holder as an accessory on the Road Angel site. Its not a bad looking piece of kit so probably will look ok in view and the holder is much better than those suction cups!

I have a Road Angel but I bought an external aerial so I dont have to have the unit on the windscreen I have placed the aerial just behind the leather part of the steering column and the put the unit on a non slip pad below the CD slot. Works great and no obvious signs that there is a sat-nav in the vehicle.

Just an idea and saves having those marks on your screen

Thanks for the ideas.. I will try the dash mount kit that came with the unit and see how I get on. My fear is that it is not strong enough to cope under full power! If not the idea of the remote reciever is a good one.

Did you not get the little stick on dashboard mount with it. Use it it works a treat.
