Put some sense to a non-believer

Hi Guys!

A vid from youtube got my attention, it's an advertisement vid from a japanese dvd tittled GT-R vs. Ferrari... while watching it, I can't help but feel bad to a ranting post from iXetsuei, he does'nt believe that the GT-R set motorsports records like 49 consecutive wins etc. I mean, why do some people discriminate a supercar because it's not that expensive and is made in Japan.. sheesh how sad. Here's the link, i'm going to reply to the guy one of these days.

Some people find it hard to believe that the same company that make Micra's, can produce a car capable of beating Ferraris ect, ect.

Also, there are a lot of badge snobs out there.....

Think your find the F40 was pretty quick in it's day and the Enzo would eat most Skylines.....

my car gets way more looks than any ferrari ive ever parked it next too. (bar something like an enzo etc) but all the footballers ones and 355s etc i even get their owners coming up asking about the car etc.

ferraris are amazing cars but nowhere near along the same lines, someone buys a ferrari (90%) of the time to know they have a fastish car but never drive it like that. A skyline is known to be fast and the people who own them appreciate cars for what they are and use them how they are intended to be used! Skylines are stupidly quick cars but dont have to be to gain respect from people who arent stupid and judge by badges!

Yea I agree about the enzo and the f40 was quick back then. But average ferrari's will still get beaten by a well set up skyline and good driver.

Yep i would in that non believer... he's just a boy who says some foul words who can't accept facts from a modest Japanese car maker.. like 29 consec. wins by R32, 50 consececutive wins in supertaiku, 49 consecutive by old school KPGC110.

You've got to compare apples to apples. A std Ferrari against a std skyline head to head and it will be close. Unless off course your setting it up against all the hairdresser models from the 80'ties

If you compare Nissan's topmodels like the R32, back then the F40 was Ferrari's King
But keeping up with an F40 in a Skyline isn't going to be easy on the straights, although in the corners an F40 can really bit you in the ass

I respect ferrari for the flamboyant marque it is, and the Skyline is the pure underdog.
And because I like underdogs I love my R32 gtr
And I also think that with the new R35 some off it's original "undercoverness" is lost. So the R35 doesn't appeal to me as much as all the previous Skyline's...

oh dear.........

Sorry guys, we all love the marque but some of these posts are total fantasy land. For example , how many of you have had a track day in your own car and a ferrari ? How mnay have had a ferrari long enought to get to know it on a country road and still claim its slow compaired to the GTR?
I love Skylines but you have to be realistic.

How many quick gtr's have you been in? or ferrari's for that matter. The skyline can be tuned to easily deal to the majority of supercars bar cars like the enzo.
I can think of many cars on here that will absolutly deal to most ferrari's in any situation.

Yes Ferrari's are quick, but a Skyline thats been tuned by someone in the know will be faster if the owner wants it to be faster. Its not hard to beat ferrrari's.

YouTube - Skyline GTR Vs Ferrari 360 Modena Vs Porshe 911 turbo

This is a very mild gtr by comparison to what is around today. These cars can put down double that hp. What ferrari's goiing to have a chance then?

A Ferrari can be tuned as easily aswell...Just look on youtube for the 900ps Ferrari F40, I don't think there will be a lot off roadlegal skylines going after him
