sent one out to Nobles HPC yesterday

not exacly a rain map, but included is an valet map and also economy map. Valet mode is for when you need to leave your 35 with the car wash guys / your mates, this map only allows low bhp and low revs so no chance of them trying to cain your car, as tempting as it maybe haha.

I'd recommend uninstalling mate, simply just in case there is a Nissan update that Middlehurst will want to flash your ecu with consult III. If they try to flash your car with a performance map on, you could loose the map and we'd need to send your ap back to USA to reset.

We have access to these new nissan updates, so when they become available they will be on the updater link as well, so your performance maps will also have new Nissan updates so you will always have the latest euro rom even with stage maps.

hi guys

if i'm repeating somebody,
i didn't read the whole treat
so my excuses for that

so as i see it the cobbtuning looks the way to go
but no one knows how much nissan knows of that

so before i even consider doing it
i would like to have more information of how much the black box knows

if it's really a warranty issue than i think it's very dangerous of doing
because in the end they will blame every drivetrain problem on that

i heart enough from already some problems with drivetrains
they dig and digg and digg and in the end your f***ed
even if you just drove it the way it's made for, the hpc rubbs it in your face

so if someone knows,
let us know

thanks

???? I have this vision of drivetrains laid out to rest......another one has died! Where are all these broken drivetrains? Is there a scaremonger in the house?

Nobody really knows for sure EXACTLY what the black box holds, as far as i am aware nobody has been able to get access to it to find out.

With reference the Cobb, it is nice and simple.

If you install and use it and your transmission goes expect your warranty to be nil and void as Nissan will say that the extra Boost and changes in AFR's etc caused strain on your tranny and caused it to fail.

Did it stop me and about 80% of users in the USA fitting it (Can't remember where i saw that figure but will find the link) and now more and more Euro guys?

No we are all adults and have taken a calculated gamble in going down the Cobb route.

Don't expect anybody to be able to give you the details on the black box any time soon.

Regards

ScottyB

cdp - if you read the whole post.. ap isn't sold as warranty friendly, no one is trying to hide anything. Consult III can read 72 hours previous history of boost, temps etc...

adding y-pipe also effects warranty. fact.

I can confirm there has been a euro tranny failure. he did have a ap installed. he was doing 290km/h on autobhan for extended period of time. Got clutch over heat message. This sort of speed and time frame had never been done in Japan, USA or anywhere else really or obvious reasons.

He just got a repair on warranty and collects his car today. I'm not joking.

There have been 3 known engine failures in the GTR world out of near 10,000 R35's. One a pounded press car, one the haltech experiment car and another in Germany.

Thumbs up I got the AP from Nobles, Thanks Ben

Well i finally got the Ipod. Asked ben for info on which map to use and he gave me guidance back by email promply and i got on and did the deed.

OMG..I flashed the stage two 97 Ron and what a difference. Had the biggest grin all day. My son took the beast for a spin and he had tried it before the Ipod was used and he asked what I had done to the beast since last time.

DMOG I am now loading the 99 ron map while I have a cup tea then locking the beast up for the games tomorrow.

Next will be a map for the Ti bores when they come after that who knows

Happy man indeed!!!!

To continue the story..Sunday came and it was time to try the 99RON map. Had a light breaky and headed for a SAFE spot............

Well i have to report it went like sh-t of a shovel and i now have the same grim back the day i picked the motor up..

Keep it coming Ben i want my TI Y pipe and full system yesterday and of course a FREE! custom Map.

Next i need to find a strip locally to try some 1/4 mile runs.............never done any of this before.....and wonder why i waited till 52 years to have a blast.......

Cheers to GTC, Nobles and Ben

I loaded the 99RON map and at present have no other MODS but will in the next few weeks have the full Titan system fitted. Motor runs great on 99RON map in stock form. Perhaps others can comment !!!!

Shell V -Power in the UK is 98 Ron - Tesco is 99 Ron so you will have to use Tesco, or Shell with an additive.

I'm selling the GT-R, can someone confirm that I can take the map off the GT-R and put it back to normal, and either keep or sell the AccessPort?
