Overdrive mode stopped working

Hi guys,

I bought my car a week ago, it was fine until today because I noticed that overdrive mode stopped working. It was working fine before, after pressing button revs were dropping but now nothing happens...

I was not messing with anything except taking clocks out and replacing few bulbs and earlier that day I checked if all the gearbox modes work (1; 2; D)... That's it. Last few days I was not using overdrive mode a lot, it was off most of the time because I was driving around town but when I entered motorway switched it on and it was working fine...

Please help!

Overdrive

Similar happened to my Skyline and was found to be a faulty OD switch which wouldnt let the OD stay on! I have to admit i just taped up the OD switch to leave it permanently on!!

The problem is that switch works as it should with the dashboard light going on and off whilst pressing button

sorry bud I'm on my wifes I pod and haven't figured out how to cut and paste but if u go to a well known search engine and type in r33 automatic diagnostic, then choose the Australian owners, that breakes it down quite well.

Update: Luckily it was dodgy speedo conversion wire/connection that I must have disrupted whilst changing speedo bulbs. Everything is working fine now. Ufff....

I already started looking for 2nd hand gearbox....
