Yes, I think the leds are less bright (during the day that is). tried on my previous 350Z and not worth it
there's a video of installed leds posted here Stealth turn signals - NAGTROC - The Nissan GT-R Owners Club points of view...

Yeah seen that and they looked great! But that was in a garage not out in daylight.
Have you installed your Philips bulbs yet?

David, I don't have the car yet (due early jan)! however, have installed same bulbs on my scooter for the same reason (egg yolk effect) and no problems at all during daylight (and I live in a country where no one will even notice you have led bulbs fitted!).
Was an EVO UK reader, now onto EVO Italy...

Only just noticed this thread - haven't been to the forums for a while (too damn busy with work), anyway...
I did a pretty full replacement on bulbs (for LEDs) soon after taking delivery of my car - I changed: * Sidelights * Internal boot light (can now actually see what I have in there!) * Door lights (the ones in the door which illuminate when you open the doors) * Internal lights (the click-on, click-off lights overhead) I decided not to tackle the indicators - looked like too much effort for no real benefit (orange is orange to me) - but I much prefer the 'white light' that the LEDs give, and at <20% of the power drain. The whole set cost me around £60 from the US - I will dig out all the details and post (together with "after" pictures if people are interested - sorry, but I'm not going through the hassle of switching back to the old bulbs to do proper "before and after" sets!).

Lights ! - Uk
From this old thread, there are many recomendations .. I got 'pulled' into this area, thanks to the shocking lack of light in the boot from the standard bulb, then you realise how much better the white LED is the 'yellow' standard lights are history.
If you take a look at the NAGTROC light blog, you'll see the photo differences excellently posted - NAGTROC - The Nissan GT-R Owners Club -> d-pak***39;s GT-R Blog) I've spent a bit of time trying to find LED bulbs from the UK rather that the ones listed on the NA site, while the products appear to be excellent, the website navigation is a lesson on how not to build a website .. Front Side lights, PIAA (as listed in this thread) : Search Results : Fasteronline Boot light : 501 LED Extreme Power 1.5W 360 degree Interior Map light (Same as boot light, they do courtesy dim, and light in the cabin is massivly increased) : 501 LED Extreme Power 1.5W 360 degree Door lights (cosmetic !) : 501 6 LEDBulbs Fitting ? - Easy. Boot light is a simple 'pop-clip' cover, released on the right hand side, folds back onto itself. Pull the current light down and out, and push in the new led - if the led does not light, remove and turn around. Pop back the clip cover. Interior map light/s. Using a flat blade screwdriver at the front of the light, (earest the windscreen). Insert the covered screwdriver blade (to stop any potential damage to the clear plastic) and gently pop open (There are 4 retaining clips two at the front two at the rear). Pull the bulb down and out, push in the LED - if it does not light, remove and turn around. Put the clear cover back on by poping back into the clips. Door lights. Using a flat blade screwdriver at the top of the cover. Insert the covered screwdriver blade (to stop any potential damage to the plastic) and prise down. Pull the light directly out, push in the LED - if it does not light, remove and turn around. Push the cover straight back on.

I'm sure Dave at Thule Roof Bars, Roof Boxes, Cycle Carrier, Snow Chains, Roof Rack, Bike Carrier, Thule Roof Box : Fasteronline can get any of the bulbs if he doesn't already have them in stock.
He's an R35 owner and forum vendor, use him. I did a write up of his "premium lighting kit" that replaces the indicators, sidelights and main beam bulbs here: Faster Online Premium Lighting kit
