Thanks for the reply folks..
I've picked the car up, the guys at County seemed fine but yeah, what you said about appearing to be more knowledgeable than they actually are appears to be born out, However.. not necessarily an issue.
However, they've MOT'ed and serviced it; oil, filter, air filter, plugs, pads checked (full), it had the Cambelt changed at 98K , has new tyres all round, and as far as I can see only a little bit of rust under one wing mirror.
Engine bay very clean, solid around the torsion bar stanchions.
Minor irks;
motors on the electric mirrors to pull them in seem weak to non-existent
Driving along the motorway I an hear the air whistling in somewhere, s'pose that's not unusual
It has what appears to be a very confusing flip up Alpine head unit, It's not a TV as far as I an see but there are a pair of little twin ariels which they told me would have been for the satellite navigation in japan ( obviously this mnbt)...
But hey , these are minor niggles on a 13 year old car.
Taking it for a long run later.. anyone know the best use of the overdrive on these, i've not run an auto before.
Apologies if I'm asking very newbie questions...
I perceive the problem with being a sub-section of a larger forum site is that there isn't a delineation of sections for newbs or specific sub-section headings... I suppose in a lot of respects any discussion about RB25DET turbo engines applies...
OH yes.. the Chassis number is WGNC34 - not sure if it's safe to put the full number , is it of interest?
Thanks , Sacha
