British Superbike champion Steve Hislop has died!!!

British Superbike champion Steve Hislop has died in a helicopter crash in the Scottish Borders.
He had won the British Superbike title in 1995 and 2002 and also won 11 races at the Isle of Man TT.

Yet another sad loss for the motorcycling world.

Let our thoughts be with his family and friends.

Best regards Alan

I was shocked to get in from work and here this.

Im not surprised its a helicopter though. Thinking back over the past few years loads of fomous people seem to have helicopter crashes. The things must be a bit unsafe but I guess its a good way to get around.

I was stunned by this news

I always enjoyed watching him ride and have many memories of his championship and other races.

What a tragic loss to his family and friends and to the motor cycling world.

He will be missed greatly.

Steve Hislop was a rare talent indeed - someone who mastered the IOM many times and held the F1 lap record there for some considerable time if my memory serves me correctly, whilst also managing to be a huge success on the short circuits.

I really enjoyed watching his no-holds barred riding style, and he will be greatly missed.

R.I.P.
