Okay it's not so much more space, but it still makes things a little easier and cleaner

I'm also getting the used Koyo Rad from Harry (Lamb) which is slightly thicker than the standard one and with all the ps lines removed now I can keep my electric fans due to the gained space between rad and engine...

...else I'd need to buy new blowing type fans as with my current ones it was already pretty tight when they were attached to the standard rad.

Just bought them as the inner bearing of the left upper arm got knackerd so it's pretty loose. Thought when I have to change it, I go for the adjustable route as on the one hand I can slightly change my camber and on the other hand I suppose it's more rigid with ball bearings instead of the standard rubber bearings...

Guess I'll know more after the next season with a few trackdays. Hope they'll last, as they were a bit expensive for just running them for only one season and then bining them

Cheers,

Leo
Leo,

I have some similar items and I've found two things which might be helpful:

1) They will unscrew themselves very quickly so make sure you use loctite (or similar thread glue)

2) They wear out quite quickly. From what I have seen there is a twisting force along the linkage. On the normal item I think the rubber bush takes the twist. On these the body of the linkage takes the strain. So far mine have been OK for 2+ years but I don't do many miles. I saw a product being developed in Australia which allows for the twist. I think if mine break I will be swapping for this design.

Simon found mine needed freeing up this year. A strip and rebuild did the trick. He suggested checking them every year. If you don't drive in bad weather you might not have a problem.

Look forward to hearing what you say about the PS removal.

If all else fails I will have some nice fixed Cusco ones that will be up for sale soon as i wanted all Ikeya Formula items on my car. The quality is just as good though.

Thanks for the heads-up guys

Just hope they will last until I can afford the whole Ikeya Formula stuff like you have Bobster

Chris, that makes myself a little worried now

Do they really unscrew themselves??? How can you use loctite to secure them when you have to adjust them first and shouldn't move them afterwards again as then the prior alignment would be useless???

Do they really wear that quick??? Damn, if I had known that before I'd have chosen another route

Have you got any link to the Aussie product???

For corrosion I thought I'd coat them with grease or wax or something after I got them properly adjusted...

Cheers,

Leo

I've heard -
"soak it in petrol, helps deactivate the sticky stuff"
"use a paint stripping gun heat it right up then peel it off"
"heat gun/blowtorch to soften it. Did the Capri in just under half a day this way"
"C02 fire extinguisher! It will break off in massive bits then white sprit to get rid of any mess."

"2nd that! Cooling is the best way, as it makes it come of in big chunks, without leaving glue and other residue as heat does... Also, it doesn't make scratches in your floor, so it's shit easy to prepare it for paint

As a Fire Extuingisher service technician I have done this in several cars, and believe me, it works. I would guess getting a lot of dry ice makes the job even easier though, as you can have it in a bag and move it around. The extuingisher get's emptied quite fast, and isn't very precise."

Dry Ice is a bit expensive is it not? how much would 20lbs cost

No need for dry ice/ Just wait for the coldest aub zero weather, don your thermal underwear and take to the sound deadening with a hammer. It'll come off in large chunks - easy

I'd need to measure it next time I'm in my garage as I don't have the measurements in my head tho...

...I bought it on flea bay UK, was around 30 or 40 Euros when I remember right

Thought it's about time to do a little update, unfortunately not very much happened lately as it was always way too cold here and my motivation was hardly present

But as it's getting a lot warmer now I started work on my GTR again today and I hope tomorrow I'll finally have finished removing the stupid sound deadening

In the meantime I received a lot of nice parts from Miguel

Nismo Super Copper Mix Twin Competition + alignment tool, Nismo engine, gearbox and steering mounts, Nismo braided clutch line, reinforced Nismo clutch padel bracket...

...HKS GT Extension kit, HKS oil restrictors, also got my Driftworks steering spacer thanks to Bobster,...

...Tomei Poncams Type A and Tomei oil sump baffle

Now I'm just waiting to get my new Garret -9's

Also bought some LED lights in Xenon white for my dash (as it was always pretty dark in the night)

And that's how it's looking now
