Next step after assembling the rest of my dash board, reinstalling the glove box and all the other covers, was my center console...

...moved the AC panel to the lowest slot to get enough space for my dashdaq display. I wanted to move it there, as they way I mounted it last year it was shaking like hell whilst driving, so you couldn't really read anything on it

Was really tricky and took me some hours of adjusting but now it's completely even and in the same angle with the AC panel

Now I'm just waiting for my new center console cover and then it will be finished

Cheers,

Leo

On the next day I disassembeled my old turbos and cleaned up the parts I'll have to reuse again on my new turbos...

...also checked my old turbos and aside from they need a bit of cleaning, they are in good nick without any exceptinal shaft play, oil leaks or whatsoever

Haven't decided yet what to do with them. Anyway I'll give them a good clean as sson as my car is finished and then keep them, sell them, use for a fun project (perhaps we'll put one on my mates GSX-R), I don't know...

Cheers,

Leo

Haha, thanks

Just have to check the wiper switch again, as I just saw that it's a bit out of angle

After I had finisehd the work on my old turbos, I took a closer look at my exhaust headers...

...I measured the outlet as it seemed like the exhaust inlet of my new turbos was slightly bigger than on my old ones and the headers.

39.5mm on the stock headers and turbos...

...44.5mm on my -9's so 5mm wider.

I used my small air driven mill to make the header outlets wider...

...but as it was a hand job, one outlet got 0.5 and the other one 1.1mm's too big

But it was pretty easy to fix, as I took a piece of paper and a pencil and made two templates of the exact outlines of both header outlets, adopted them to the exhaust inlets of my -9's and carefully milled them with my Dremel. Now they are 100% matching

Cheers,

Leo

On Sunday I spent a little more time on my engine removing some covers, crank pulley, coil packs, ... to prepare it for the camshaft change and the oilpan removal next weekend...

...also removed my plenum as I'll get it shot blasted and painted

Here you can see all the stuff that's hiding under the plenum

Cheers,

Leo

Can't remember tbh, but they weren't that expensive ...

...ordered them along with some other stuff from Miguel last fall, as I already knew that I'll take out the engine sooner or later

*blushes* Thanks buddy

But I suppose it's quite easy to keep things tidy and organised when you got enough space

I'm sure if you would also have a garage like mine it wouldn't be different

Cheers,

Leo

Just got a phone call today that they had already finished shotblasting my plenum...

...that was fast (just droped it off yesterday after work)

Now I just have to wait until my painter gets back from his holiday...
