Just a quick update...

...started painting my engine bay at the weekend

Unfortunately I ran out of paint so I have to get some new one today so I can apply a second coat.

Cheers,

Leo

Thanks buddy! It's satin black like it was from factory (at least it looked like satin black )...

...the base coat is a wear resistant acrylic paint and the next coat will be a 2K paint, so I hope this will last for a while

Cheers,

Leo

The complete engine bay was satin black from factory, so I didn't see the need of painting the whole one. I just painted the areas where I have removed some metal, cleaned up some minor rusty spots or where the paint was pretty scratched

And tbh I also didn't fancy removing all braking lines, the ABS, the rest of the wiring loom, front subframe, ...

...this would have been way too much for now. Perhaps I'll strip the car completely down some day and give it a full Bobster treatment, but for now I'm happy with it like it is

Cheers,

Leo

ah i see, yeah dont blame you. how come it was satin black from the factory? i mean like my car is pearl red and the engine bay is kind of a dull red.

bobster treatment? nooo, if your on about stripping it right back and starting from scratch...you wanna give it the jaz treatment lol

yeah my car is silver and the engine bay was a dull grey like a primer type colour and thats how they come from factory I'm guessing Austrian GTR's car must have been resprayed at some stage

hi, just wondering if you find the Bride Cuga's are a tight fit for the car? as in, when you close the door, they're actually pressing up against the door? just put some cuga's in my R34 R and on the passenger side, it's pressing into the door ever so slightly. They're def HL seats with HL rails too....

Hey Leo,

Hope all is well mate. If you're still wondering about the brake stopper the Cusco one does fit with an R34 master cylinder, its a little longer but doesn't make a huge difference. Your project is really coming on !

Will.
