Camshaft cover - damaged seal? - GT-R Register - Official Nissan Skyline and GTR Owners Club forum

I have just taken my engine covers off to repaint them and noticed this seal was damaged on the inside:

Should I be worried? Do I need to fix it/get a new cover?

I appreciate your help

Its only silicone sealent. just pull off the excess as you dont want it floating around the engine.

As said above it is only a little sealer thats come away. Pick it off or if you want to can strip, clean and reseal if needed.
