A UK owned 1992 R32 GTR Skyline presented by TheGTRShop.

We have great pleasure in our latest offering to the enthusiasts market this stunning silver metallic R32 Nissan Skyline GTR. It has an array of performance orientated upgrades that would please even the most discerning GTR Owner. This car has been sourced, inspected and test driven in the UK and selected by DaveW as a worthy example to offer into the market place. We met the owner and had the opportunity to discuss at length the history and merits of the car, a privilege that sometimes we are denied of when buying such cars from auction houses.

This stunning car has been owned by 1 enthusiast owner since it was imported into the UK some 5 years ago. When we met the owner it became obvious he was a true petrol head by the display of other performance vehicles in his personal collection. This car has rarely seen the light of day since it entered the country and has been garage stored and only used on the driest of days in the UK, it sparkling and glossy paintwork is a credit to its owner. From all angles the car looks fresh and sharp with very little giving away the car 18yr age.

Upon starting the car the wonderful sound of the extremely rare Kakimoto twin dual system fills your ears, once you have heard an RB26DETT engine with one of these systems you will never want another exhaust on your car........gorgeous!. It comes with the original Kakimoto fitment and specification sheets to, again a rare item as most Japanese service history for these cars tends to go missing over the years. Fortunately the previous Japanese owner and importing company managed to retain this GTR***8217;s original service sheets and a lot of receipts for top brand items.
The engine starts immediately with no hesitation and quickly settle down to its idle speed, oil pressure is excellent. The ECU is an Apexi PFC, supplied and Mapped in the UK by RB Motorsport, who inspected the car, fitted the ECU, Fuel Pump, Tomei FPR and Decat system to release the engine***8217;s potential. The performance is further improved by a set of free flow downpipes, Large core Intercooler with up rated lower hard pipes installed plus HKS SPF filters and up rated plugs.

The drive of the car is brisk and predictable with its KYB suspension (KYB Manufacture for NISMO) it covers the ground at a great pace with none of the usual uncomfortable road characteristics we associate with Japanese suspension, it***8217;s a great choice! During his lengthy ownership theUK its owner had all of the suspension bushes for the upper and lower control arms replaced with new items. This removes the usual pitch, roll and shake that sometimes plagues these cars on uneven or demanding roads and instead gives an almost new car feel to the whole experience.
The 5 speed gearbox is further enhanced by a quick shift system and is probably the best quick shifter we have come across to date. None of the associated crunches when moving rapidly though the gears and no lay shaft rattle either, surely the sign of a healthy transmission. The 4WD and ATTESSA works perfectly with the Skyline chassis, again no obvious faults to find here. The front and rear differentials offer the same level of fault free confidence.

On the move the cabinet is silent with the exception of the Kakimoto, Blitz Dumps Valves and Induction roar. All together offer quite an intoxicating sound that makes your skin tingle and hair stand on end.

Upon inspection of the bodywork you begin to appreciate the crisp finish in the sort after KLO Silver paint finish, with only a few minor blemishes to the car it***8217;s not hard to understand just how well this car has been maintained. The arches and sill are blemish free and free from the corrosion a lot of these cars are now suffering from. The car is complimented with an original Trust front bumper with N1 style inlet vents and larger Intercooler opening plus a high quality ***8220;open mouth***8221; R33GTR Style front grill to further assist in the cooling of the engine and encourage cold air flow to the filters. Sitting either side of the grill is a set of genuine N1 Headlamps; the UK owner fitted these at a great expense to improve the light pattern of the original projector style lamps which are commonly fitted. The Magnesium alloy wheels are of a lightweight design and quite unlike most wheels we have seen fitted to the GTR and show very little sign of kerb damage.

Moving to the interior you are again meet with an exceptionally well cared for trim, the dash is not split and the seats still supportive with a minimal amount of wear to the driver***8217;s seat, the vents are intact and the Speedo has been professionally converted to MPH. Door panels are intact with no plastics or vinyl***8217;s split or damaged speaker grills. The head unit has been replaced with an up rated UK supplied version with a removable fascia for additional security. The caring UK owner went to the trouble and expense of fitting a Cat1 alarm plus a Tracker system which will no doubt offer the new owner with a far greater comfort knowing that this car is protected and satellite tracked!

The engine bay is as you are now expecting it to be, super clean and relatively unmarked. All tags and ID stamps are present and match the service documents present with the car. A remote oil filter and cooler kit have been fitted to further protect the life blood of the engine. You will notice the Cusco adjustable cross brace fitted; a matching unit is also fitted to the rear of the car which dramatically improve the handling characteristics of the R32 models. Various service and inspection stamps are evident as you examine the compartment, further reinforcing the care and time spent maintaining this car in Japan.
