cheers Eddie,
thought i would have a go myself.
all done and the results are fantastic. amazing difference just by changing the oil - bizzare.
took a good few hours as it was my first go, but well worth it.
no way you can do it without a ramp though...

No probs Nick, glad you got it sorted did you drop the sump and primary suction filter to get the last couple of litres as well as clean the magnets?

I will do when the office pull allows me a spare few minutes! It was a very therapeutic experience to do your own oil change. The difference is simply massive when you drive the thing too!

It's the dirtiest job you will do in your life dropping the tm sump. I have done oilpans in my life before but this is really disgusting!

Any updates from other happy Pentosin FFL4 users?

This feedback sounds too good to be true

Driving with Pentosin FFL-4 for several days now. Gearshifts are smoother, especially when the car is cold. Strange noises at low speed are reduced greatly, not completely, but drastically. Almost can't hear them now if I don't listen for the purpose.
Gearshifts don't seem faster, but I was happy with the speed anyway. Starting on the traffic lights is also a lot smoother.

***8230;sump off (write up in detail on new GTROC website shortly) change to FFL4 and it might as well be a new car. Completely and totally different. Smooth from cold, far, far less noise and upshifts smooth and crisp. Main difference though is the ability to actually find a gear when dropping to a roundabout or Junction and not bunny hopping across the road (and that is after gearbox learns etc etc etc). Changed the oil and bam!

Love it

I've been using it for 18 months and my services are done by HPC. And it's definitely no worse than before. The issue is that i can't remember what it was like before to say it's smoother etc. But if i could still get hold of the stuff at the price i paid for my first 20litres i'd be very happy to continue using it.

Steve,

I used powerenhancer

I actually opted for 11x1L which came to £158 all in, including a 10% subs. letter discount (sign up). I was going to spend £272 and get 20L, but decided to maximize liquidity and not tie cash up in a 20L drum for another year.

Dom.

I think you will find that the Motul oil is used on the diffs and not the gearbox.
