ok so i havent updated this thread for a while. to be honest i've been dead busy with work and not had the time to do much so i dropped off the car with Steve from the forum (Steve@EdgeAutomotiveInteriors) to see what he could do with my dash and i think it looks awesome
but i'll let the pics speak for them selfs.

went with a purple (ish) blue ish stitch to tie it in with the stock colours and i think it looks spot on.
I have to say a big thanks to steve for putting up with me constantly txting phoning pm'ing him about the dash.

comments as always welcomed

Tib

cheers pal im not to bothered about the weight factor that much i will lose stuff unnesercery like air con and a few bits but my aim is a updated interior with a stock sort of look. and as you know chaz like my status says only milk and juice come in 2ltrs so i want a RB30 although the spool RB34 kit looks very intresting.

as soon as you get yours back pal pm me and i'll get a little northwest meet up.(really looking forward to seeing your new build, hoping for a passenger ride )
not sure what sort of meet yet? But maybe just meet up at somewhere like townley hall then hit the back roads to yorkshire (skipton way maybe) some good pubs over that way for grub.

cheers sam i to think it sets the interior off, just need to get the seats re-trimed and the door cards done. wont be doing much more to the interior other than maybe changing the steering wheel and adding a couple more essentiall gauges.

same with the exterior, thats almost where i want it. just a set of side skirts and a splash of carbon and the exterior is where i want it.

i think the next couple off months is going to be spent saving up for engine mods

Very nice Tib. I was thinking of getting Steve to sort out my steering wheel with the same sort of finish as that.

Cant wait to see what engine mods you come up with.

i basically got it for half price thats all i will say. and the workmanship is spot on
as for engine mods i really dont want to end up changing turbo's then stroking it to say 2.8 then going to a rb30 so i may just order a rips short motor buy a precision billet 6567 and be done in one go (obviously with new injectors, ecu, fuel setup ect). to be honest i have priced most of it up and seen as i will only have to pay for mapping (as i am more than capable of fitting it all) so the end price is not to bad. so i will probably spend the rest of this year and first half of next year accumalating (cant spell) most of the bits i need.

regardless though the end product will be a RB30 (31,32,33,34 not sure yet) running aprox 600-700bhp full street trim/weight mildly modded exterior. so to look at she will be reasonably stock interior exterior wise atleast. just updated looking hopefully.

thanks for the comments guys.

it gives the interior an upto date look i think. not sure if i should have the stock 33 seats trimed to match or source a scruffy pair of 34 seats and re-trim them. or might pick up some bucket seats and have them trimed. options options either way the interior looks a million times better with the new dash in and i will definalty be using Steve to do the rest of the interior.

yes.

not sure when i'll get round to doing the rest of the interior but the dash just catches your eye as soon as you open the door and looks mint. might get the door cards and rear side panals done but i'm not sure what i'm going to do about seats yet.

little update.

so a month or so ago some moron ran into the baack of me (allbeit at about 2 mph) but still enough to crack my rear bumper (hidden badly lol by my quick fix opie oil sticker )

so last weekend i decided enough was enough and it was getting fixed so off came the bumper and to my delight i found what i hope is a real nismo part number

i had previously thought the 400r kit on my GTR to be a copy so made up if it is real also you can see the crack in the bumper in the above pic. Anyway a little fibre glass later and some filler, then it was off to the paint shop for some primer, then off to a mates unit to paint it.

fixed and primed and not bad if i dont say so myself

couple of coats of QM1

really happy with the colour match and the finish isnt bad to say i've not sprayed in years, with a little cutting compound and some good wax it should look spot on..

as always comments welcome

Tib
