Hi all I've been after a set of k sport brakes for quite a while. A set has come up second hand, but there for a s14a. Does anyone know if they will fit? Any advice greatly apriciated.

S14a has almost the same front brakes as the R32 GTR. As I understand it R33 Brembos will bolt straight onto the R32 though I seem to remember that different hose fittings might be needed.

If in doubt ask Dan at DB Power he knows about all of the S body and Skyline variations.

Get yourself onto the SXOC forum mate. You'll get info on all types of brake swaps for S13s, S14s etc. I'm fairly sure they all have the same brake mount hole spacing. I think it's only the R34 that has different (bigger) threads.

Here's a start:

direct fit, no faffing s14 front brake upgrade. - SXOC Bulletin Board

This suggests that R33 GTR Brembos are a straight swap apart from the length of the mounting bolts.

Stagea brake upgrades are the same as s14
If you stick with 32/33GTR its bolt on in most cases.
A few exceptions

If using 34GTR brakes the front caliper bolts are often 14mm (not 12) Easily overcome by using threaded inserts.

On the rear bolts are always the same size but sometomes the thread pitch is different so use the bolts that come with the calipers and there wont be any issues.
Disc covers may need "modding" or swopping for GTR ones if you use lager discs.
With front covers it really is only a small change and this can be bent out by hand .
Rears are more involved either swop them which means you will need to remove/replace the handbrake assembly or cut them down with an angle grinder in situ.

In fact any brakes that fit a GTR will fit a stagea/S14etc as long as the wheels are the right offset and large enough.

My stagea has the large AP brakes on 18 " wheels

Those brakes are gorgeous! Thanks for the info, I emailed Bren from apex and he confirmed they will be a straight swap, so I've paid a deposit on a set of new ksports at a bargain price
