Rose joints / Rod Ends / Spherical bearings

Is anyone a bit of a wizard with Spherical Bearings?

I need to source some new high quality bearings to replace some knackered items. Ideally some rubber boots to sit over them would be good too.

There seems to be plnety of options about however my knowledge of quality bearings is a little thin on the ground so some pointers or even better a supplier would be much appreciated.

Most of my Googling is getting US websites (with Imperial sizes) or industrial suppliers...

If it's any help the rod's thread is M16.

Try them. They have everything you'll need. I have bought from them before and can vouch for the speed of delivery and hassle free purchase.

I use and work with these on a daily basis. NMB and Goldline are probably the best makes, both are expensive, but it is all relative as they last FAR FAR longer than cheap ones, and their load ratings often allow you to use a smaller size than a cheap make. Goldline are near me in Telford, Shropshire, NMB are available from the likes of Raceparts UK , see here:

NMB

Stuff like Aurora is cheap and cheerful, but I would only use them for things like gear linkages, not suspension or steering.

Cheers gents - went with the McGill guys as the other lot apparently don't stock metric sizes.

Just need a machinist to make up some spacers/reducers and I'm there!

Thanks again.

McGill guys are great and are only 5 mins drive from my Mums. Next time I'm back up the road for a visit, I might pop in and do a bit of browsing myself...
