Thanks John
I brought a whole fibreglass shell off a e-bay type website but not from the people who made the parts.

Pretty sure the front clip is a racepro product who are quite a big fibreglass company in NZ, google them and if you can't find them get back to me and I'll see if I can get a contact for you.

Next up are some cooling products:

Having looked at some intercoolers from the States and the fact that a suitable one would owe me in excess of nzd3500 by the time I it got here, I decided to get the cores and make the tanks ourselves, this is good for over 1000hp:

No worries mate, at least it was over and done with a little quicker than last time, haha.

Maybe I should keep my GTR road legal and get some Radials

As part of my "I'm doing it different" theme, we've lost a fair bit of weight off the front and we'll have lots of room for the turbo etc along with easy access to everything:

Probably not, but it "could" if we wanted it to as I have all the papers for it and the chassis/cage work has been checked and passed.

By retaining all original chassis and x-members/engine mounts etc it only needs a modification certificate and a few parts x-rayed.

Yeah, when you custom make suspension or steering arms and want the parts to go on a road legal car in NZ they have to be crack tested/x-rayed to make sure the welds etc are up to standard.

Stupid thing is, we've checked the welds on some stock nissan arms and they failed!!

No, Lith, I just don't want to ruin Rob's great thread with any regurgitation of a topic that has been thrashed already, particularly when one side doesn't wish to stick to the topic.

Fair enough, sounds like good policy.

So on the topic, this is looking fully nuts - I am pleased you decided to do a GTR Rob. I like your approach to things and look forward to seeing how this comes together, at the very least its going to be one to watch and something a bit different.

Plenty of room for whatever we'd like to try:

Dry sump tank mounts and custom radiator mounts will be next on the list of "to do's"
