I like the fact they apologized to residents...not the poor bugger whose car they were joy riding in.

They probably won't even get the sack..which at least the driver should.

If the guy had not been pissed and driving around then he would still have his car wouldn't he, so they crashed it, good, keeps yet another gene pool reject off the roads.

lol, i agree with jakester. however the drunk driver managed to keep the car on the road, maybe the cops should ask him for some driving lessons.

regardless of the drink driver , just goes to show what ive always said for years , special police driver training is a load of bull .

those police was obviously more dangerous than the drink driver and thats why it bloody annoys me when some people put all there trust in police .

they deserve to get the full punishment as any over person crashing that car through some ones garden and to be taken to court by the drink driver for the ruined car .

the poilce in the car are the scum this time !

I looked up 'irony' in the dictionary, and the definition has been replaced with a link to this article.

Get a life

The reason drinking and driving is bad is that it makes the chances driving too quickly or rolling your car into a ditch much larger.

Now clearly the arrested guy drunk or not had not managed to do either of these

This is way better than the officer who acheived both even when sober (presumably)

So who is nearer your "gen pool reject" ? .............seems clear to me but you applaud the police for crashing somebodys car - unbeleiveable.

Ban them both

Whats the bets the police get let off and the guy insurance goes up as he will have to make a claim, would like to know if he was drunk or just messing about in his car, sure the police to cover there own arse will say he's drunk.

Funny you should mention "special police driver training".

On my way to work this morning i drove passed a police car parked on a traffic island. Not just the front bumper but the whole car was on top of the 1.5 foot concrete barrier with the concrete resting on the underside.

I think the driver was obviously sick when it was his turn.

This same thing happed to me. Drunk drive smashed through my front wall, bounced off the daily runner (writing it off) and took out my side wall, shutting the road for 5 hours.

over 2 months on and they haven't caught the driver as he did a runner.

My house and car insurance has gone up and i have lost my excess.

They are now asking the witness to submit another statement over two months after the incident.

If they cant be bothered to catch him, why would they discipline a police officer for the same kind of accident. This will be put down as a driver error and he will be sent on a safety course.
